Chera Dynasty: Trade and Economy

The Chera dynasty, one of the three crowned rulers of ancient Tamilakam, flourished roughly from the 3rd century BCE to the 5th century CE. Centered in present-day Kerala and western Tamil Nadu, the Cheras leveraged their coastal geography to build a vibrant maritime trade network across the Indian Ocean.
