Decline of Gupta Empire

By the mid‐5th century CE, the bloom of Gupta power began to wither. A succession of weaker rulers, mounting fiscal pressures, and relentless external invasions eroded the political cohesion, reducing the empire to fractured regional realms by around 550 CE.
